PlayVS Opens Up Competition in Canada

As the Fall 2020 season rapidly approaches, we’re furiously at work solidifying our platform and expanding what we offer and who we offer it to. 

That’s why we’re excited to announce that this fall, for the first time, we’re offering high school and university competition in Canada. This is our first international expansion, so we’re pretty excited about it. Here’s what you need to know.

Our expansion into Canada makes high school and university competition available everywhere in the country, with the exception of Québec — désolé pour le retard. This expansion aims to provide more opportunities for more students and schools to engage with esports on our platform. You can sign up to get started here.

For the inaugural Fall 2020 season, recreational leagues will be offered as free products for all Canadian high schools, colleges, and universities to complete alongside U.S. schools. There is no limit on the number of players per school, allowing any student who wishes to participate and become part of a team to do so. PlayVS initial game offerings for Canadian high schools and colleges include League of Legends, Rocket League, and Fortnite.

Oh, and one more thing, our first season in Canada will be absolutely, 100% FREE for unlimited teams and unlimited players in high school and university. So, welcome Canada. Dive into the PlayVS esports universe. The water’s just about perfect.
