College League Updates

To our collegiate community,

Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey to develop and organize collegiate esports for the past two years. While we’ve celebrated the launch and growth of College – and the incredible community we’ve built together – we have made the difficult decision to pause our collegiate leagues with our Fall ‘21 season.  

We started College four seasons ago and quickly built the platform into the largest collegiate league with roughly 1/3 of all U.S. colleges competing across our titles. It’s been exciting to see the growth of our College leagues and to connect with players, some of whom had even previously competed in PlayVS High School leagues or even went on to coach PlayVS High School teams! 

We launched College with the vision to create a robust experience where schools could build programs and compete against rivals, conference schools, and non-conference schools alike. 

We realize now that the best path towards accomplishing that vision is through our High School product. As a company, our focus has always been on providing the best competitive opportunity for high school students. We firmly believe that by building a strong foundation in high school, we will be able to provide the most benefits for the esports and collegiate ecosystem as a whole. 

We will be sending out emails by December 20th to the Fall ‘21 season winners across all of our College League events with details on what information we need to process the prize payment. Players can expect prizing within three weeks of filling out their forms. If you do not receive an email from us, please contact the Support Team by either using the orange chat bubble on the bottom right of our website or through support@playvs.com. 

Our mission has always been to deliver the best player experience and we appreciate each of you for giving us the opportunity to do so these past four seasons. For PlayVS College, this is goodbye for now, but not forever!
