What's New

• NBA2K Playoffs: Championship dates have been added for all NBA2K Fall ‘22 Finalists!
• Privacy Updates: To ensure personal information is respected, coaches now have the ability to remove phone number and email visibility across our platform.
• Playoffs: Due to the length of time playoffs require, playoff matches will occur on different days of the week than the regular season. Teams who win their matches may also be required to play multiple times in a week as they progress through the playoffs. To prepare for finals, we request that coaches follow the steps here in order to view their league's full bracket schedule.

What’s New 

Congratulations to all playoff finalists! We’ve added minor updates to Playoffs Start Dates. Also, in the Championship Schedule, you’ll find broadcast times and addresses for the championship matches. Please check both articles as we continue to add new details.

Playoff Brackets Our team is currently in the process of finalizing standings and seeding teams appropriately. Some leagues have already been seeded and we will continue this process through the week. Coaches and teams can expect to see their playoff brackets in their dashboard before the Thanksgiving break for leagues that have completed their regular season.

Playoff Reminders Due to the length of period for playoffs to take place before finals, playoff matches will occur on different days of the week than the regular season. Teams that win their matches may also be required to play multiple times in a week as they progress through the playoffs. Coaches can prepare ahead of time by following the steps here, in order to view your league's full bracket schedule. 

League of Legends  Patch 12.22 notes from Riot on 11/16 introduced some new items, objectives, and in-game mechanics. PlayVS highly recommends having your players practice with this new update as these changes will be included in the upcoming League of Legends Playoffs.

NBA 2K Due to the highly limited time frame for Playoffs involving consecutive game days for brackets progress, playoff matches will not be rescheduled. It is important that all matches be completed with results submitted on the day they are expected to play. 

League of Legends If the lobby code for game 1, 2, or 3 are not automatically generated, please follow the custom game format listed in the Game Day Protocol.

• Splatoon 3: Nintendo temporarily removed "Rain Maker" mode.  Due to this, play should continue as normal and move on to the next game mode listed in our Rulebook and Game Day Protocol. In the event that Game 5 needs to be played, then "Turf War" should be used as the final game mode.  We will update once the map has returned and is available for play.
• Game Spectating: Reminder that Spectating is only allowed if both coaches agree to it within the games, however spectating of any form is not allowed with any Nintendo titles.

• Splatoon 3: In-Game Requirements To Join - Players must have completed the in-game tutorial and played at least one (1) online initial turf war match in order to get the prompt to create a Player ID and join custom lobbies.  If a player has not completed these in-game steps, they will be unable to join a custom lobby as needed to participate in a match.

What's New

• Fall 22 Rule Changes Summary Article - Summary of rule additions, updates, & changes across all titles for the Fall 22 season.
• PlayVS Tiebreakers FAQ - If teams are tied, PlayVS will use the tiebreaker system to determine mid-season rank, weekly match pairing, and playoff seedings. We have updated the system for the Fall 2022 season.
• Registration Deadline Extended - We’re moving our Fall season registration deadline back a few days to September 21!

Preseason Reminders

Please familiarize your team with the Smart Scheduler Overview.

• This feature will be utilized for each game throughout the season to ensure maximum playtime for all teams.
• On game day, schools with multiple teams in the same esport will need to have separate tabs open for each team and join the queue for each team.
• Important: If your team does not have a full roster, you will not be able to join the match queue.

Game Reminders

• Splatoon 3 Preseason begins this week! -After you have installed Splatoon 3 please ensure your players have played through the tutorial, their first match of turf war, and set their nickname in game. These steps are required to unlock the ability to create and join private/custom matches.
• League Unlocked -The League Unlocked issue from last week was resolved by Riot and we start submitting your players for League Unlock on Monday, 9/12.
• League of Legends -Games this season will be a Best of 3 format.

What's New

• New Navigation - We consolidated and simplified site navigation into a single panel on the left-hand side of the page.
• New School Billing Page - We updated the School Billing page to let you view and track your players' passes at-a-glance, as well as information about your school's annual plan, including player pack size, enrollment dates, and how passes work.
• The Smart Scheduler is a new scheduling method used this season to allow for adaptability and flexibility.  More information can be found here. 

Preseason Reminders

• All teams planning to compete this week will need to join the match queue to be paired up with an opponent.  Details on the smart scheduler and how to join the match queue can be found here. 
• Note: If your team does not have a full roster you will not be able to join the match queue. 

Game Reminders

• League of Legends -  Preseason will be Blind pick and not use the lobby code. Champion Unlock will occur on a weekly basis leading up to the start of the season.
• Game Rulebooks - Game Rulebooks and Game Day protocols are posted in the Game Rules Collection. NBA 2K23 and Splatoon 3 rulebooks and game-day protocols will be updated after the launch day of these games. 
• NBA2K 23 - due to the game release, a separate schedule will be available for NBA2K. 
• Splatoon 3 - due to the game release, Splatoon will have a shorter preseason session.  Key distribution will not begin until after the release of the game on Sept 9th.
